A power catamaran will generally outrun a sailing catamaran, and in the Bahamas that speed buys you distance. The Exumas are spread out, so a few extra knots is the difference between seeing three anchorages in a week and six. 10. BRU SEA | 53ft
BRU SEA is a new 2023 Leopard 53 power catamaran based in Nassau, and one of the things we like most is that she charters at a single flat rate all year, so there’s no low-season/high-season math to do. She sleeps 6 guests across three cabins, all with double beds and en-suite bathrooms.
A swim platform and outdoor shower make getting in and out of the water easy, and the toy selection – two underwater scooters, Seabobs, paddleboards, snorkel gear, and a towable tube – is plenty for a full week without repeating yourself.
Add full air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV in the saloon, and a wet bar on the flybridge, and we think BRU SEA is one of the most straightforward ways into a Bahamas power cat charter right now.
9. EARNOUT | 55ft
EARNOUT is a 2025 Two Oceans 555 power catamaran and one of our brokers’ favorites in the fleet. Captain Bill and Chef Ashley run three luxe ensuite suites for 6 guests, all finished in a clean, airy “Miami Beach” style. Our broker Chris has chartered her personally and describes the layout as clean and open-plan, with the salon and galley flowing into each other in a way he rarely sees on a boat this size.
Another of our brokers, John, has booked her repeatedly for Bahamas groups. One family’s charter here became the highlight of their trip after their original yacht fell through at the last minute, and the guests tipped the crew more than 20% at the end of the week.
One thing to flag: we’ve heard she’s relocating toward the BVI for the coming season, so if you want her in the Bahamas, ask us about availability sooner rather than later.
8. PLAYTIME | 64ft
PLAYTIME is a 64-foot Lagoon power catamaran from 2018, refitted in 2021, sleeping six across three en-suite cabins. That is catamaran volume built for a small group, so nobody is negotiating for space at any point in the week.
She is a boat our brokers keep going back to. One of our team has run several charters aboard her that went exactly as promised, and she is regularly the boat we price out of Nassau for the Christmas and New Year weeks, which is not where anyone puts a yacht they are unsure about.
She carries a 19-foot Boston Whaler, which is a proper second boat rather than a dinghy, and it changes what a day looks like: real range for beach hops, towing and reaching the spots the mothership will not go. Alongside it there is an e-foil, kitesurf gear, a surfboard, wakeboard, towable tube, paddleboards, two underwater scooters and a drone. 7. PRINCESS MILA | 67ft
PRINCESS MILA is a 2022 Fountaine Pajot 67 power catamaran based in Nassau. She sleeps 8 guests across 4 bright ensuite cabins, and we particularly like the on-deck Jacuzzi up front, which actually gets used between swims instead of sitting there for photos.
The aft deck dining table comfortably seats the whole group, and the flybridge adds wrap-around seating plus two oversized sunbeds. For families, we’d highlight the sea scooters, SUPs, tandem kayak, wakeboard, and towable tube, all backed up by a 4.6m Highfield tender rated for 9 guests.
Her shallow draft is worth mentioning too: it lets her tuck into skinny anchorages that other 67-footers have to skip, which matters a lot for a sandbar-heavy week in the Exumas.
6. ORCA | 71ft
ORCA is a 71-foot Sunreef power catamaran, built in 2017 and refit in 2025, and in our view she feels like a much newer boat as a result. She splits her time between Florida and the Bahamas, and carries a bow-terrace Jacuzzi under a full sun awning, with a full-beam main-deck galley and saloon that keep breakfast, lounging, and the inevitable snack run all in one social space.
We’re genuinely fans of her toy locker: a Yamaha FX SVHO jet ski, two Seabob F5s, an underwater drone with a 4K camera, plus wakeboard, waterskis, and a towable, all launched off a 140hp carbon tender that seats 9.
Four cabins sleep 8 guests across two masters and two doubles, all with queen beds, which makes her a good fit for two families or couples sharing a week.
5. MUCHO GUSTO | 65ft
MUCHO GUSTO is a 65-foot Horizon power catamaran from 2019 based in Nassau, sleeping six across three en-suite suites: a main-deck primary king, a VIP king, and a third cabin that converts from twins to a king.
The case for a power cat in the Bahamas is range, and she is a good illustration of it. She covers close to twice the ground of a comparable sailing catamaran in the same week, which matters when the Exumas run well over a hundred miles end to end and the anchorages worth reaching are spread the length of them.
Water access is genuinely easy, with two swim platforms plus a hi-lo platform and an outdoor shower for the reset, and the flybridge is built for use with a covered BBQ, wet bar and alfresco dining while the aft deck stays shaded for lunch. Her toys keep things relaxed rather than extreme: a tender, sea scooters, snorkel gear, two paddleboards, wakeboard, kneeboard, water skis and light fishing gear, with Starlink throughout. SERENITY VII solves the complaint we hear most often about a week at anchor, which is the generator. Her 2024 refit added a lithium battery bank and an upgraded air conditioning system, so she runs silent overnight and saves the generator for hours when nobody minds. If light sleepers are coming, that is worth more than another toy.
She is a 63-foot Lagoon from 2019 sleeping eight across four queen cabins, each with its own bathroom, so four couples get an identical room. Full air conditioning throughout, Starlink for anyone who has to check in with work, and a swim platform with boarding ladder and deck shower for the in-and-out of a Bahamas day.
The toys are chosen rather than accumulated: two e-foils, a wakeboard, towable tube, two kayaks and two paddleboards. She also holds a Bahamas-only season, so she is not repositioning anywhere mid-winter. From $46,500 a week.

SIETE MARES is a brand-new 2025 Lagoon Seventy 8 with a Nauta Design interior, delivering serious volume and luxury. We like that she winters in the Bahamas after a summer season split between the French Riviera, Monaco, and Corsica. She sleeps 8 guests across 4 spacious ensuite cabins, including a standout master suite with a fold-out private terrace, a feature we rarely see at this size.
We rate her crew highly, starting with Captain Tiago Farto Silva, a Portuguese sailor who grew up surfing and racing dinghies on Peniche’s west coast. He leads a four-person team that includes a dedicated wellness and yoga host. Her deck spaces are just as impressive: a sunken foredeck lounge, an elegant aft deck for long dinners, and a fully appointed flybridge with a bar, dining, and panoramic views.
The toy lineup is exceptional: an E-foil, 8 sea scooters, 4 SUPs (2 with sail kits), windsurfers, a kayak, wakeboard, water skis, towables, a floating dock, snorkeling gear, and fishing gear. It’s a boat built for a genuinely active week in the Bahamas.
2. SEAGLASS 74 | 74ft
SEAGLASS 74 is a Horizon-built power catamaran, built in 2017 and refit in 2021, based in Nassau. Her multihull beam does a lot of the work here, giving her the volume of a much larger monohull without needing a bigger guest count for her 8 guests across 4 cabins.
We like that the aft deck seats 10 for dinner and has its own bar, flowing straight into the saloon, while the hi-lo swim platform between the hulls makes water access simple and drama-free. Up top, the flybridge is set up for dining and lounging for 10, a five-seat bar, a day head, and a separate BBQ station.
The cabin layout makes sense in practice: a main-deck primary king, two forward king suites, and an amidships cabin that converts between twin and king. Everyone ends up with their own corner, and no one draws the short straw.

PRONTO is a 2022 Sunreef power catamaran based in the Bahamas, and she carries the highest weekly rate on this page at $89,500 plus expenses. That rate is the same in summer and winter, with a higher rate over the holiday weeks. She sleeps 8 guests in 4 en-suite cabins: a king master in the port hull, a double amidships, a forward twin, and an aft double with an extra Pullman berth.
The full-beam Jacuzzi on the foredeck is the natural place to gather between swims, and the flybridge is laid out for dining with views on all sides. Meals aft stay outside and close to a large swim platform, so the swim, eat, swim rhythm takes no planning. Her captain, Willem Knoetze, is a South African holding a Yachtmaster Ocean 200-ton license, and he is also a PADI scuba instructor, which is worth knowing if diving is on your list.
The toy list runs long: a Sea-Doo GTX 300 jet ski, an electric foil Fliteboard, two Seabobs, a paddleboard, two inflatable kayaks and snorkel gear, plus a Williams DieselJet 505 tender. Two folding electric bikes and two electric scooters cover the exploring you do ashore.
