Harbour Island is the reason most people ask for Eleuthera by name. Pink Sands Beach runs the full three miles of its Atlantic side, sand that genuinely reads pink in the right light, and it’s consistently compared to St. Barths or Nantucket for the pace and the crowd it draws. Dunmore Town, on the harbour side, is full of pastel colonial cottages, boutique hotels, and some of the best restaurants in the Out Islands.
There’s no real anchorage right off the beach, most charters pick up a mooring or anchor in the harbour and tender across. Don’t miss a golf-cart afternoon through Dunmore Town, still the easiest way to see the island properly, and a sunset dinner on the beach side once the day-trippers have cleared out.
