The best time for a Bahamas yacht charter is usually March through May. You still get strong weather, the water is warming up, and you avoid some of the Christmas and New Year pressure.
December through April is the classic dry-season window, but not every month feels the same. Christmas and January can be beautiful, but cooler and busier. March, April, and May are often the sweet spot for comfort, availability, and the full Bahamas water-toys-and-sandbars experience.

December: High demand, especially Christmas and New Year. Book early and expect premium terms.
January: Dry and popular, but it can feel cooler, especially in the evenings and in the water.
February: Better than January for warmth, still within peak season.
March: One of the best months. Warmer, reliable, and excellent for Exumas routes.
April: Probably the strongest all-around month for many groups.
May: Great shoulder month. Warmer water, fewer crowds, and still a very good charter window.
June and July: Possible, warmer, and often beautiful, but you need more weather flexibility.

November: A useful shoulder month as the season starts again. Good for guests who want fewer crowds before the holiday rush.
Holiday Charters
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year can be excellent in the Bahamas, but they are not casual booking weeks. The best yachts go early, minimum-night rules are stricter, and rates can be higher.
If your dates are fixed around Christmas or New Year, start with yacht availability first. The itinerary comes second.

The Bahamas doesn't have a high season and low season like we have in the Med. The charter fee is the same all year round, except for Christmas, New Year's, Easter, and special days like the 4th of July.

For most clients, we would aim for March, April, or May. If you want a holiday charter, book early and be ready for stricter terms. If you want fewer crowds and better availability, look at May or November.
For August through October, the Bahamas can still work, but we would only recommend it with a clear hurricane addendum, flexible routing, and realistic expectations.

The first two weeks of November are a critical time. A lot of charters are already taking place in the Bahamas. Yes, it's still the end of hurricane season, but we've had lots of successful charters during that time.
