Governor’s Harbour is one of the oldest settlements in the Bahamas, with a working airport that makes it a practical stop or turnaround point on an Eleuthera itinerary. The town has real colonial-era architecture and a settled, lived-in feel that’s different from the more touristed stops further south.
Don’t miss French Leave Beach just south of town, one of Eleuthera’s better pink-sand stretches and an easy walk or dinghy ride from the harbour.
