Great Harbour Cay is the largest settlement in the Berry Islands and the best base for flats fishing, with bonefish schools that can run into the thousands on a good day. It has its own airport and marina, useful provisioning for a longer stay, and a genuinely quiet, low-key feel compared to the busier Exumas.
Don’t miss a morning on the flats if bonefishing is anywhere on your list, this is one of the better spots in the Bahamas for it.
