When we discuss spa facilities on superyachts, we’re talking about more than just a massage room. These are comprehensive wellness complexes that include multiple treatment areas such as saunas, steam rooms, hammams, plunge pools, and beauty salons.
They are meticulously designed to provide an immersive relaxation experience that by far beats top spa resorts on land, with the number one advantage: they are ON the water!
5. Sherakhan | 229 ft

SHERAKHAN is a 229-foot luxury motor yacht built by the Dutch Vuyk Shipyard in 2005. She underwent a major refit in 2022. She accommodates a whole 26 guests across 13 cabins and has a crew of 19. Note that this is an unusually large guest capacity for a charter yacht, even in The Bahamas.
I am very fond of the interior design of the spa facilities onboard SHERAKHAN (It was designed by Claudia Rijntjes). It has a very unique style that is bold, sensual, calm, and healing all at once.
The main spa room has a—I want to be daring and call it a “tropical-spiritual-boho theme”, highlighted by two large Buddhas and a central hot tub under a striking illuminated turtle mural and surrounded by white pebbles on the floor. Unique nature-themed artwork on both walls and ceiling further enhances the space. This is a floating tropical island!
The massage room is done in a Sangria red with a bold cherry art piece of a very contrasting style on one wall and a huge mermaid mosaic on the other. It is honestly very eccentric, but I really like it!
The spacious sauna is in a more traditional style. It is all wood, with a hot coal centerpiece, and softened by cozy, dim lighting to ensure a deeply relaxing experience.
SHERAKHAN also features a fully equipped gym, an open-air swimming pool, and a library.
Before wrapping up, I must highlight SHERAKHAN’s main saloon—a remarkable space truly worthy of a standing applause.
It features a large, oval dining table with seating for 26 charter guests, perfect for grand dinner parties or a very extravagant meal for 2. Above, a striking light fixture spans the entire length of the table. You will see it in the picture above.
On either side of the dining area, spiral twin glass staircases ascend to spacious balconies that overlook the saloon, in case you want to add a bit of extra grandeur to your speech or take a photo that captures all the plates.
This palace-like design offers sweeping views of the dining area below and contributes to an overall sense of openness and grandeur.

Where do I begin? CORAL OCEAN isn’t just a yacht; it’s a floating wellness paradise that redefines the meaning of wellness at sea.
Where else can you sweat it out in an infrared sauna, then stroll a few steps to chill in high-end luxury, surrounded by products from Ikou, Dior, and Chanel?
Ian Malouf’s CORAL OCEAN takes self-care from whispered luxury to a loud, resplendent reality.
And what about the beauty therapy sessions aboard? More like a spa buffet with massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures delivered by an expert therapist whose sole mission is to rejuvenate your body and spirit. Is it too much? Definitely!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the pull-up bars that hang on a hydraulic roof that can be lifted to hang over the open water. When you’re done, just let go and drop directly into the ocean. That’s the Gym.
Below deck, the calm continues with a steam room in beautiful blue mosaic tiles and gorgeous walls decorated with illuminated jellyfish; I have never seen anything like it!
And just when you think you’ve seen all, there’s the pièce de résistance: a spa pool on the sun deck with a glass bottom crafted by Seable&Co. Nearby, the sun lounge with Dedar fabric mattresses and strategic umbrella placement ensures that even sunbathing turns into a sybaritic escape.
Are we done? Well, we have barely started, but the rest is for another time. I will just mention jet skis so you know they are there… and a whole lot of other water sports.

AMARYLLIS is a 257-foot luxury motor yacht built by the acclaimed German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen in 2011. She accommodates 12 guests in 6 cabins and has a crew of 23.
Her incredible interior, designed by Raymond Langton, draws inspiration from the Belle Époque and Art Deco periods. This yacht is a floating tribute to the golden age of art and luxury! I love it!
The wellness facilities on board AMARYLLIS promise more than relaxation; they offer a transformative experience. Let’s begin at the sauna and steam room. Which way do you prefer to be heated?
Then, step from the heat to the coolness of the 5-meter plunge pool located on the top sun deck under the open sky. This is a great place to relax with a cocktail either under the sun or under the stars at night when the light in the pool can be set to change colors. I don’t want to come across as easily impressed, but it is seriously quite cool.

Plus, she’s got an elevator and jet skis and a garage full of water sports, and I seriously urge you to have a look at her avant-garde piano; it looks fast!

And now to number 1 on this list: my absolute favorite superyacht spa center; hold on tight!
APHO is a 378-foot luxury motor yacht built by the renowned German Shipyard Lürssen Yachts, just like CORAL OCEAN, which is number 3 on this list. APHO is one of Lürssen’s newer yachts, built as recently as 2021; she is literally brand new!
It is honestly going to be hard not to get sidetracked and try to capture all of APHO’s grandeur, but we would need a whole, solely dedicated article to do it justice. So, I will try to just focus on the wellness facilities of this floating wellness heaven.
Here we go: Its serene, nature-inspired spa merges into an oversized beach club on the aft deck, providing a great transition from deep relaxation to recreation.- You can literally step right into the sea.
The spa area is designed to pamper guests with a variety of luxury treatments in an environment decorated with beautiful mosaics and ivory onyx, which is mind-blowingly beautifully executed. Yes, that is the best sentence I could find to describe how much its decorations blow my mind. There, I said it again.
Key features of the spa include a Himalayan salt sauna, which offers a unique twist on traditional spa treatments. Just read up on the health benefits associated with salt therapy; this is a step up!
There is also a Hamman, for those who don’t know, you should know, but it’s essentially a Turkish steam bath.
It is what you see in the top picture, which looks like a church room with the most intricate mosaic walls, dark marble seating, and a striking centerpiece basin, which looks almost sacred. I don’t even think this is close to being an exaggeration.
Then, there is a dedicated massage room, ensuring that guests can receive a range of therapies for relaxation and rejuvenation or perhaps preparing the muscles for the next workout, which could be had in the fully equipped gym located on the sky deck, with full ocean views!
Or, you could skip the gym and just jump into the plunge pool, which is located right next to the spa. OR… you can push a button and see the fold-down balcony open, and if you are feeling brave, cause the drop is pretty far, you can jump right into the ocean! I have included a picture demonstrating this super cool action.
