Can we see the swimming pigs on a Bahamas yacht charter?

Yes, and by yacht is the best way to do it. The famous swimming pigs live on Big Major Cay, better known as Pig Beach, right next to Staniel Cay in the Exumas. On the classic route it is a natural mid-week stop, and you visit by tender straight from your anchorage.

The broker tip: go in the early morning. The day-tour boats from Nassau arrive late morning, and before they do, your group often has the beach and the pigs nearly to yourselves. Bring vegetables from the galley, keep fingers clear, and the crew handles the rest.

The same anchorage gives you Thunderball Grotto around the corner and the nurse sharks at Compass Cay one stop north, which is why we plan a full day or two around Staniel Cay in the Exumas itinerary.
