Is the Bahamas safe for a yacht charter vacation?

Yes. A crewed yacht charter is one of the most protected ways to travel: you sleep on a private yacht, your itinerary runs through quiet cays and anchorages, and a professional crew with local knowledge is with you the whole week. In the Exumas you will often see more iguanas than people.

The safety headlines you may have read concern specific areas of Nassau and travel situations far removed from a charter. Aboard, the practical picture is the crew choosing anchorages they know, watching the weather, and handling every logistics step. Standard city precautions apply if you explore Nassau on your own, the same as any port city.

The sea itself is the mildest part: shallow, protected banks and short hops between islands. If anyone in your group has concerns, tell your broker and we will shape the route and stops around them.
