Six to twelve months ahead is the sweet spot. Yacht charter is a seller’s market: each yacht is one-of-one, and the best Bahamas boats are booked out six months or more, with holiday weeks going even earlier. A year out you choose from nearly the whole fleet; three months out you are choosing from what is left.
This is the opposite of hotel logic, and it surprises clients who wait for last-minute deals. Those deals exist occasionally, but the odds that the right boat, port, and budget line up on your exact dates are low.
