Captain - Michael Sharrow | American
Throughout Michael’s nearly thirty-year career as Captain and crew on various chartered, private, recreational, delivery boats and yachts, he has been blessed with unique opportunities to travel the world and cross nearly every ocean. Having experience in freelance and delivery work has allowed Michael to grow his experience and knowledge on a variety of boat builds and familiarize himself with different systems. Michael is extremely competent in yacht mechanics and electrical, international shipping and receiving, itinerary planning and all over maintenance, care and management. He has received extensive training and experience in Marine Environment and sailed throughout the world being blessed to visit more than 100 different countries, thousands of islands, and meet many amazing people from all over the planet along the way. He has had the opportunity to live in Japan, Europe, and now calls South Florida his permanent home. It has been a truly epic adventure and Michael looks forward to continuing it on board SEA OWL!

Stewardess – Hanna Lennie | English
Hanna originally grew up in the west country in England. Her travels have taken her all across the globe and she now resides in Florida. She has a strong background in hospitality and following college, resided in Australia for four years. While here, she managed a restaurant in an off the grid resort in Queensland where the Great Barrier Reef meets the Daintree rainforest. Her passion for travel and adventure led her into a career in yachting. She entered the industry over six years ago and has since worked on both private and charter vessels from 50’ – 360’ meeting and catering to people of all nationalities. She has extensively sailed around the Mediterranean, London, Florida, the Bahamas, Caribbean islands, Panama, Mexico and San Diego as well as completed an Atlantic crossing from Savannah, Georgia to London. She has worked estates in Miami, Arizona and a safari lodge in South Africa. She loves making people happy, providing outstanding service and is looking forward to hosting some memorable charters on board.


Chef – Eric Grutka | American
Chef Eric is a top-level, award-winning executive and private chef with over 28 years of extensive culinary, kitchen management and menu planning experience, including 8 years of private chef work. Prior to yachting Chef Eric was the founder and chef of an award winning modern American-Fusion restaurant in South Florida. He has expertise in a diverse selection of cuisine including French, Thai, Indian, Italian, Asian, Southern, Modern American, Mexican, Latin American and Caribbean. He is experienced in meeting multiple dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, dairy free, gluten free, low-carb and ketogenic.

Growing up in south Florida allowed him to develop hobbies in fishing, diving, other<br /> water sports along with developing a love for the ocean. Starting his career at 18 years old as a<br /> deckhand aboard an 80’ sailing yacht, moving up the ladder over the years on various sized boats, up<br /> to captain. Throughout the years he has covered thousands of miles and has seen some amazing<br /> features that this world has to offer. His favorite part of the job is showing his guests the<br /> extraordinary areas of the Bahamas, Caribbean and New England. He is married to his lovely wife<br /> Sophie Aubrey, who is also Sea Owl’s first mate. They spend their free time taking their dog Haven<br /> for excursions on their paddle board, fishing and to the beach for some time to relax. They love to<br /> travel and experience different cultures, especially when sharing these experiences with their guests.<br /> <br /> <br /> First Mate<br /> Sophie Aubrey | American<br /> Sophie was born and raised on the East coast of central Florida and is 26 years old. She is a fourth<br /> generation native Floridian. While growing up on the water, she has always enjoyed everything that<br /> the ocean has to offer. While working in the hospitality industry as a server/bartender and managing<br /> a parasail and water sports company at 18, she gained the basic fundamentals that it takes to make a<br /> great crew member. Sophie moved to south Florida with her husband and entered the yachting<br /> industry in 2020 as a stewardess onboard a 197’ super yacht. Later transitioning to a deck/stew, and<br /> now, a full time first mate. Since joining the industry she has traveled through the Bahamas, the<br /> Florida Keys, the entire East coast of the US. While not hard at work, she enjoys traveling, spending<br /> time with her husband Rob and dog Haven, bike riding and visiting the beach. Attention to detail<br /> and exceptional care for her guests are her strong points. She enjoys all facets of boating life and the<br /> thrilling aspects of yacht charters. Later, she studied environmental engineering at<br /> the University of Alabama (roll tide!) while working as a server/bartender. She entered the yachting<br /> industry shortly thereafter to pursue her passion of traveling the world. Since then, Shannon has<br /> spent most of her time exploring the Caribbean tropics and the historical northeast US. In her spare<br /> time, she enjoys beach days, discovering new areas, finding creative outlets, and socializing with<br /> friends.
