1. Jet Ski
Jet skis are a staple on Bahamas motor yacht charters, and the Bahamas is genuinely one of the best places in the world to use one. The bays are wide open, the water is shallow and clear, and no license is required.
We regularly see guests take the jet skis out first thing in the morning, racing through the Exumas’ blue channels or scouting private beaches before breakfast. It’s a top pick for couples and friend groups, and motor yachts with jet skis are easy to find here. One thing to know: usage is restricted in marine protected areas like the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, and your captain will brief you on where you can ride.

The Bahamas suits them perfectly: glassy anchorages like Shroud Cay or the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park are exactly the kind of flat, calm water where an e-foil feels effortless. Most people are up and riding within a few hours, faster with any surf experience, and requests have climbed every season for the last two years.
One practical note from inside the team: our broker Louis Lamprell rented an e-foil in the Bahamas a year ago, and that rental operator has since disappeared. Rental options in the islands come and go, so if e-foiling is on your wish list, choose a yacht that carries its own rather than counting on renting one locally.

3. Seabob
Seabobs are high-performance electric underwater scooters that pull you through the water at up to 15 km/h on the surface and 11 km/h underwater, and they take about a minute to learn. They have become close to standard equipment on Bahamas charter yachts, and this is the perfect place for them, shallow, glass-clear water where you can glide a few feet down with full visibility and spot stingrays, turtles, and reef fish.
The best Seabob days happen at anchor near coral gardens and calm bays, think Thunderball Grotto, Allen’s Cay, or the coral heads near Compass Cay. They’re a particular hit with families: kids from about 10 up get to explore underwater without needing any scuba gear.

Inflatable water slides are a guaranteed hit for all ages, especially anchored in warm, shallow water at family stops like Big Major Cay or Norman’s Cay. They’re easy for the crew to set up, instantly social, and sliding into a turquoise bay is about as GoPro-worthy as a charter moment gets.
If you’re chartering with kids or planning group fun days, pick a yacht that carries one. We’ve watched even the most reserved guests take the plunge. Slides are common on motor yachts, and some of the bigger Bahamas catamarans carry them too.

5. Kite Surfing
The Bahamas has real kite surfing conditions: steady trade winds and protected flatwater bays, especially in the Exumas around Little Farmer’s Cay and Moriah Harbour, with November to May giving the most reliable wind. Warm, shallow, empty water, it’s about as good as launching gets.
Most yachts don’t carry kite gear, but some do, and a few have crew who kite themselves or even instructors on board. That’s the real difference between a kite trip that happens and one that stays an idea: the kites and boards take up serious storage space, and the crew has to be committed to the sport.
