COOL BREEZE Yacht Description

Introduced by DMA Yachting, the impressive charter yacht COOL BREEZE is a 108 ft motor yacht featuring a hot tub. The most appealing features of COOL BREEZE are her generous space and experienced crew. COOL BREEZE spends the summer and winter season in the Bahamas. She was delivered by the well-known ship builder Benetti in 2014. The spacious yacht layout features 5 cozy cabins and comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests.

COOL BREEZE is classified as a superyacht. The key part of the boat -generously sized aft deck, leads to the meticulously composed main saloon. The main saloon is a friendly space to spend time when the aft deck might not be as desirable (at port, private conversations) and boasts a number of entertainment options.

5 spacious cabins are purposefully laid out for maximum privacy and comfort.

Crew

Crew Information

Captain: Christian Mehlmann

Captain: Christian Mehlmann
Nationality – British
Having grown up on the Solent, UK on the family yacht, Christian has always had a passionate love and respect for the sea and was only a matter of time before he entered into the professional world of yachting at the age of 17.
A keen traveller and natural leader he raced through the ranks becoming captain at the age of 23 and has since then travelled many parts of the world in both hemispheres and to this day doesn’t tire from the wonderful places to be seen and experiences to be had with hundreds of guests and owners from all walks of life.
Christian loves to provide that unique experience together with his energetic and vibrant crew and relishes in seeing the enjoyment that guests have on their unique holidays going that extra step to make sure it all falls into place.
His hobbies include cooking, hiking, golf and diving as well as being very handy with the DIY when at home in the South of France.

Chef: Erica Mehlmann
Nationality - American
Erica is a southern California girl, born and bred but one with a serious travel bug. She has traveled to over 40 countries and since graduating from UC Berkeley has lived in London, Hong Kong and Barcelona before finally settling in the sunny south of France. Her favorite things are sunshine, beaches, reading, scuba diving, new cuisines and cultures.
Her love of travel and fine food led her to be a Yacht Chef and she studied at Ashburton Culinary School and has been on boats ever since. She enjoys cooking fresh, vibrant, locally sourced foods with a focus on Mediterranean, Asian and healthy cooking. Her dream destinations in yachting would be the Maldives, Alaska and the Galapagos.

Mate: Jeremy Hyder
Nationality - British
Having grown up in the south of England Jeremy has always had a passion for being on the water and any outdoor pursuits. Before beginning his yachting career Jeremy was an Arborist and did so for 8 years throughout England and also in Australia, climbing some of the tallest trees in the world is extremely enjoyable. In 2013 he decided to keep my feet firmly on the deck and started yachting in the Mediterranean and covered much of the beautiful Mediterranean coast. In 2017 he relocated to FT. Lauderdale and have been cruising the East Coast of the USA, Bahamas and Caribbean ever since. Yachting has many plus points, but for Jeremy there is nothing better than the sun rising over a flat ocean, jumping in the tender with guests and cruising off for a fun filled day of fishing, and then returning with a tender full of Mahi Mahi in time for dinner.

Engineer: Mark Makarewicz
Nationality - Canadian
Mark was born and raised in Canada where he grew up spending his time in nature, hiking the forests and the Rockies. This passion has made him mountaineer different ranges in Europe and America. This also led him to become a snowboard instructor. His other great passion is the automotive industry. From a young as early as 12, Mark has been driving and working on cars. He pursued a career in automotive racing for a few years while also working as a mechanic for Dodge.
Mark has always wanted to explore and make his life an adventure. That’s when he turned his life to working on yachts. He started as a deck/stew, but with his mechanical background he quickly advanced to becoming an engineer. Working as an engineer he found quickly that working on yachts was the right fit. Moving on from small motor vehicles to large diesel engines, Mark found a great opportunity to expand his knowledge in mechanics. Mark’s favorite thing about yachting is all the new people he gets to meet and getting to see new areas to explore. From sunrise to sunset everyday becomes an adventure, and that’s all Mark has wanted.

Chief Stew: Chantelle Rix *freelance
Nationality – South African
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Chantelle graduated from college with a dual degree in Travel and Tourism and Public Relations. She then moved on to work for the largest tour operator in South Africa where she discovered yachting and decided to pursue it as a career. Chantelle has now been in the industry for 12 years and has cruised through the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mediterranean, Middle East, Far East and more. She has also worked for a popular South African travel magazine and spent a year teaching English in Thailand. During her spare time, Chantelle enjoys cooking, photography, yoga, travelling and going on adventures.

2nd Stew - Krysten Weaver
Nationality - American
Krysten grew up on Grand Lake in Oklahoma where she spent a lot of time on the water while she was home and knew being on the water was where she felt happiest. She is 26 years old. Krysten has worked as a Yacht Stewardess for a year now based out of the Bahamas and USA. She decided to join yachting because she enjoys traveling to all of the beautiful places and getting to share experiences with people from all over the world. During her free time, Krysten like to spend time with family or friends, hiking, going to the beach, reading, and enjoying great food. She looks forward to meeting guests soon on Cool Breeze.
