Presented by DMA Yachting, the impressive charter yacht L’OCTANT is a 51 ft sailing catamaran. The most valuable elements of L’OCTANT are her elegant profile and interconnection with the sea. L’OCTANT spends the season in the Bahamas. She was completed by the renowned boatbuilder NEEL Trimarans in 2018. A succesful refit was delivered in 2022. The spacious yacht layout features 3 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates a maximum of 6 guests.
L’OCTANT is classified primarily as a sailing catamaran. The central space of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck features a variety of seating areas and usually it is where you, as a charter guest, spend most of your time. The modern cabins are located in the 2 massive hulls. The cabins offer designer mattrace beds and feature ensuite bathrooms. Multiple portholes add to the feeling of connection with the discovered environment.
The sailboat features Main Engine : Yanmar 110 hp (new 2023) Generators : Onan 12,5 Kva engines and a generator.

Not included in these rates are :
A.P.A: 25% SY to cover all costs in advance: fuel & provisioning, special requests (champagne, fine wines, specific alcoholic drinks & excessiv alcoholic beverage consumption), permit, cruising & government** taxes and fees, dockage & marina fees, use of communication means available aboard.
**APA: The Advance Provisioning Allowance is a deposit made to cover expenses incurred during the course of the charter, such as fuel, food, beverages, mooring fees, visa fees, harbour fees, park fees, local taxes, and other expenses not included in the Charter Fee. It is paid in full with the Charter Fee, and is managed by the captain , who can present the accounts on request. If during the course of the charter, the provision becomes insufficient, the client will be advised by the captain and be required to supplement the sum. The captain will present the detailed accounts at the end of the charter, and any remaining APA will be reimbursed directly.

With extensive experience navigating both the Mediterranean and Caribbean, for almost 25 years Captain Denis Ruban is a seasoned professional skilled in commanding sailing and motor yachts between 40 and 70 feet. His expertise spans private charters, crew management, technical oversight, and vessel maintenance—including mechanical and electrical systems.

Versatile and experienced yacht crew with strong expertise in interior, culinary, and deck operations on both sailing and motor yachts. Highly skilled in preparing diverse, high-quality meals and creating a warm, attentive environment, ensuring guests feel comfortable and well-cared-for throughout every voyage. Experienced in long passages, including transatlantic crossings as First Mate, with solid seamanship, safety awareness, and deck handling skills. Comfortable on catamarans and larger yachts (up to 88’), certified Deckhand (STCW & Medical 1), and fluent in French and English, with additional language and diving skills. Collaborative, adaptable, and professional, bringing both technical knowledge and a caring approach to every onboard experience.
